I will say that handling Eliza's father's guitar pick (as she said on the show, he'd passed away about a year before and was one of the main reasons she pursued a career as a singer/musician), made me quite nervous. I only had about 4-5 days in total to make the custom guitar pick necklace, which left no room at all for error. As an exact replica of Eliza's father's pick, this guitar pick necklace is unique and will always be one of a kind. My favorite part of the necklace was a small detail - the original pick (a Fender pick, by the way), was well worn (and clearly well loved) - the word 'Fender' had been nearly completely rubbed off, and at the tip there was a section that was rounded where the pick went over the strings. The white gold version of the pick retained that detail - which was worn down and molded by Eliza's father - like a finger print.

It was extremely touching to see how much custom guitar pick necklace meant to Eliza and it was wonderful to see the necklace on her neck, to see Gretta Monnahan put it on her, and to see her wearing it at her Joe's Pub debut with the gorgeous bright yellow Kay Unger dress.
