Karoma, exquisite aromatherapy designs for your car

In my capacity as a designer, I have been working with the wonderful creator of PooPourri to create the beautiful Karoma designs for the new line. As the Karoma designer, my job was to develop a model that would hold the scent cards, hang from a car rear view mirror, and be classy and gorgeous in the process. The Karoma designs are based on filigree patterns found in design books, modified to provide excellent air-flow for the scent cards, and give the brand a very specific appearance.

The 'charms' on the front of each Karoma design are based on emotions or feelings that the Karoma line creator wanted to inspire, including hope, faith, love and peace. A fine filigree and granulation is part of each Karoma charm design. And, although not pictured here, the Karoma design includes a beautiful open filigree backing.

Creating the designs for the Karoma line is an example of the type of work I do for clients that range in size from one or two person entrepreneurs to large companies the size of Ralph Lauren (I did a housewares project for them last year). This process is largely driven by the vision of the client, who in this case provided a multitude of pictures exhibiting the 'style' of what they were seeking as the end result. Through the collaboration, designs like these for Karoma, are born.
